Madeline Nussbaum, LICSW

PSYCHOTHERAPY TO HELP YOU HEAL AND GROW

I offer individual therapy, relationship counseling, and EMDR intensives for people who are ready to do meaningful work — whether that's processing trauma, navigating a major life transition, or finally breaking through what's kept you stuck. I have a grounded, collaborative, and relational style that uses evidence-based practices to help you heal and grow.

    Individual and Relationship Counseling

I offer individual and relationship counseling with a unique focus on the intersections of trauma, sexuality, and gender identity.

    EMDR Intensives

If you've been in therapy and feel like you're circling the same ground — or if you're ready to do meaningful trauma work without committing to months of weekly sessions — an EMDR intensive might be right for you.

    Clinical Consultation and Supervision

I offer clinical supervision and consultation for therapists at all levels of licensure. I specialize in supporting therapists who are working in a trauma informed relational style, and I love supervising people who are interested in their growing edges.

    Coaching

If you are in need of shorter term, more goal oriented support around a decision or life transition, coaching can help you come into clarity about how to move forward. Coaching is different from psychotherapy in that it does not involve treatment of a mental health diagnosis, and you do not need to be in Massachusetts to receive coaching support.

ABOUT ME

I am a licensed clinical social worker and received my MSW from Smith College School for Social Work in 2011. I have specialized training in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) and sex and relationship therapy. My work is deeply informed by social justice and I draw on narrative, relational, feminist, and transfeminist approaches in therapy. I am very familiar and comfortable working with clients who identify as sexual minorities (queer, kinky, nonmonogamous).

A NOTE ON COST

I am an out-of-pocket practice. Individual sessions are $150, and couples/relationship sessions are $170. I offer a limited sliding scale for individual therapy. EMDR intensives are priced by format — please see EMDR intensives page for details.

I can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients find their insurance covers a meaningful portion of out-of-network care — it's worth a quick call to your member services to find out.
